Anton Mikhailov

Anton Mikhailov is a pianist and composer, born in 1999 in Horlivka, Donetsk region of Ukraine, and currently based in Tbilisi, Georgia. He studied at the Murmansk College of Arts, completing the first part of his education in the classical piano department before continuing on the jazz piano program. This dual background shaped his approach, blending rigorous classical training with the freedom of jazz improvisation. After moving to Moscow, he worked for several years as both a jazz musician and teacher, gaining experience in performance and pedagogy before relocating to Tbilisi.

His music blends contemporary jazz with classical harmony and cinematic soundscapes, influenced by artists such as Herbie Hancock, Tigran Hamasyan, and Robert Glasper, as well as classical composers Dmitri Shostakovich and Nikolai Kapustin. In 2025 he released his debut trio album, recorded with long-time collaborators Ivan Lipatov (bass) and Roman Reznik (drums) and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer David Darlington in New York.

Anton has extensive live experience across clubs and festivals throughout Eastern Europe and the wider post-Soviet region, performing in formats from solo piano recitals to trio and quartet settings. In addition to performing, he is active as a composer and arranger for film, theatre, and media, bringing a cinematic sensibility to his music. With his debut album released, he is now presenting his work to international audiences through concerts, tours, and cross-border collaborations.
